This is a summary of the terms that apply when you enrol in NSW compulsory CPD 2026/27 with Real E-training (RTO 91854). By ticking the declaration before checkout, you agree to these terms. See how it works for a step-by-step guide.

1. Your declaration and choice of topics

  • You tell us the licence categories you hold, your licence class and the areas of practice you work in. We enrol you in the compulsory topics for those areas, each topic once.
  • You are responsible for making sure your declaration is accurate. If it is wrong, you may not meet your CPD obligations.
  • You can change your choices at any time before you pay. After payment, contact us and we will review the change.

2. Identity verification

  • Before your first topic, you must complete a one-off identity check. This confirms that the person completing the CPD is the licence holder.
  • You will need a current photo ID: an Australian driver licence or a passport. The name on your ID must match the name on your Real E-training account and your licence.
  • The check is done by our verification partner, Didit. You photograph your ID and take a short selfie video so your face can be matched to your ID.
  • If you cannot complete the check online, contact us and we will verify your ID another way. If your identity cannot be verified, you will receive a full refund.

3. Camera on and taking part in every session

  • NSW Fair Trading requires compulsory CPD to be interactive. Your camera must be switched on, with your face clearly visible, for the whole of every webinar or session.
  • You must use a computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection and a current web browser.
  • You must take part: answer questions, contribute to discussion and complete the activities during the session. In the presentation you answer the presenter's question on each slide before moving on.
  • Each presentation has a minimum time, based on the topic's hours. The first time through, you cannot end the presentation until you have spent that time actively in it. Time paused or idle does not count.
  • You complete a quick face check when you open each topic (once a day per topic) and again before each assessment. These match your face to the ID you verified; no ID card is needed.
  • If there is no activity for 10 minutes during a presentation, it pauses and asks if you are still there. If there is no response within 2 minutes, you must complete a face check to continue.
  • If a face check does not go through 3 times in one day for a topic, that topic is locked for the day until we have spoken with you.
  • If your camera is off, your face is not visible, you leave the session, or another person takes part for you, the session will not count and you will need to complete it again.
  • You must complete all CPD personally. Sharing your login, or having someone else complete any part of a topic or assessment, is a breach of these terms. We may report it to NSW Fair Trading and cancel your enrolment without a refund.

4. Assessment

  • Each topic has a scenario-based assessment of 25 questions, drawn at random from a larger question bank, so each attempt is different.
  • Each attempt has a time limit of 40 minutes. The timer starts when you begin the attempt and is shown on screen. You must submit your attempt within the 40 minutes. An attempt that is not submitted in time is lost: it is not marked and it still counts as one of your attempts.
  • You must complete a quick face check before you start the assessment, and complete it on your own without help from anyone else.
  • The pass mark is 80% and you have 3 attempts.
  • If you do not pass after 3 attempts, contact us to discuss further support before another attempt.

5. Completion, certificates and reporting

  • When you complete a topic, you receive a record of completion for it. When every area you declared has its required hours, you can download your overall CPD 2026/27 certificate.
  • We report completions to NSW Fair Trading each month.
  • Keep your CPD records for at least 3 years. Certificates can be checked online using their certificate number.

6. CPD year and enrolment cut-off

  • The CPD year runs from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. All topics must be completed within the CPD year; CPD cannot be carried over.
  • Enrolments close at 4pm on 30 June 2027.

7. Fees and refunds

  • The fee depends on the number of areas of practice you choose. Early bird pricing applies to enrolments paid by 30 November 2026.
  • No refunds are given once you have logged in to a CPD topic, or for change of mind.
  • A full refund is given if your identity cannot be verified. Other refunds are only given in exceptional circumstances, at our discretion.

8. Class 1 licence holders

  • The Class 1 accredited forum is separate from your compulsory topics.
  • Where it applies to your areas of practice, AUSTRAC's AML/CTF training is completed directly with AUSTRAC. Real E-training does not deliver it.

9. Privacy

  • We collect your name, contact details, licence number, declaration, progress, assessment results and identity verification result to deliver your CPD, issue certificates and report to NSW Fair Trading.
  • Didit processes your ID document and face images on our behalf to verify your identity. We keep the result of the check, not your ID images. Biometric information is used only to verify your identity for CPD.
  • We disclose your completion details to NSW Fair Trading as required. See our privacy policy for more information.
